COZMO, aka COZ PACINO, is a producer/rapper from the San Francisco Bay
Area. Being the son of a soulful keyboard player, Charlie Hickox, Cozmo
was around soul, blues, rock n roll, and hip hop since a kid..
Cozmo first made a name for himself with Killa Tay on the Bay Area
classic album Snake Eyes where he stood out on several songs.
It seems since then the journey to make himself a historic figure in
hip hop has never stopped. Coz has since worked with every major artist
out of the bay from E40 to Keisha Cole..He has appeared on over 60
albums and currently is working on a project for San Quinn's label Done
Deal Ent. He continues to make a name for himself as one of the bay
area's newest and hottest producers on the scene. Recently producing
classics such as San Quinn's, "Look What I've Done For Them" which
video was in rotation on MTV Jamz earlier this year and Messy Marv's "I
Just Wanna be Yours" that received heavy airplay on 106.1 KMEL. Cozmo
has definitely help raise the standard for bay producers as well as
mc's. Cozmo says "I have an equal passion for rap as well as
producing. I was rapping first, so i still have that hunger as an mc".
Cozmo's networking has recently landed him tracks on album's from
HELLRELL, MISTAH FAB, LOON, JIM JONES ,and Street Fams FRECK
BILLIONAIRE. Cozmo's universal sound is catching the ears of everyone
from the west, east and down south. When asked about his production
style he states, "I like to do a little bit of everything. That way I'm
not limited to certain artists or to certain regions". I just try to make
music that can compete in today's market.
COZMO'S solo album, THE STREETS ARE MINE, is set for release in early
December. It's sure to be a good follow up to his classic rookie release
"COZ PACINO". Cozmo who's also a father, is destined for succes. He
states, "It's just a matter of time and hard work and staying
positive. I'm a firm beleiver in karma, so i just try to put out
positive energy and stay safe so i can be around to receive my
blessings. With that winning attitude, it's just a matter of time before
this humble producer gets his recognition as one of hip hop's greats.
